About
I am a documentary producer, field journalist and multimedia storyteller based in Mumbai. For more than 13 years, I have made human stories for audiences around the world. My work begins in person, with the people, places and institutions at the centre of a story.
Recent projects include 180 Years of Teaching and Healing, a long-form documentary and ten short docus on one of Asia's largest public healthcare institutions; Dil Se Seedhi Baat: Cancer Conversation, produced with clinicians at ACTREC, the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer at Tata Memorial Centre; and ZEE TV's Kahaani Har Ghar Ki, an Indian prime-time programme, where I built a pan-India network of journalists to source and research first-person stories.
At Hindustan Times, India's second-largest daily, I published more than 400 stories on civic affairs, public health and the urban environment. I reported on Mumbai's municipal government body, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, and more than 15 other public agencies, alongside citizen campaigns for the Mumbai edition.

Reporting in public
Alongside commissioned work, I run an independent public-interest reporting channel on X, @mashrujeet. It reaches more than 20 million impressions in an average year, an audience built through consistent, verified reporting from the field.
That visibility can turn a local issue into an on-ground response. Posts have led to improvement, enforcement and follow-up by public agencies.
